| Description: | Symon is seeking a dynamic, creative Mobile Phone Application Developer. We're looking for an energetic and talented Objective C / iPhone / Silverlight / Blackberry developer to extend our reach for creating multi-media platforms for rich interactive solutions that provide the next level of customer communications and user experience. The candidate will have extensive experience programming in C#, Objective C, web services and have experience with the iPhone SDK, Window Mobile, and Blackberry development platforms. Candidate must be local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and will be based in our HQ office in Plano, TX. |
| Qualifications: | - C++/Objective C/ XML experience.
C#, Silverlight, XAML, WPF 3.5 / 4.0, Silverlight 2.0 / 3.0 Knowledge of iPhone SDK. (SQLite database, Threads, GeoLocation). Blackberry application development skills and experience. Must have extensive knowledge of the Blackberry SDK and preferably at least one deployed Blackberry application. Strong understanding of Blackberry JDE, MDS runtime, interactive application development paradigms, memory management, file I/O, network & socket programming, concurrency and multi-threading. Experience in J2ME and blackberry performance analysis and tuning, benchmarking and unit testing is desired. Team development experience with source code control (Team Foundation Server) UI / RIA development experience Application architecture and feature development. Ability to quickly master new technologies and push the envelope for performance and reliability. Work closely with product management and quality teams on feature definitions, release milestones and project tracking. Proactive and ability to work independently, but also productive and fun as part of a peer group. Experience working on distributed applications Demonstrated experience in object oriented design and development of applications and systems. Expertise in the principles of object-oriented design Excellent ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile development team Excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills Self Starter BS/MS in CS or related field 6 years plus of related application development Practical experience in the use of Agile development methodologies specifically Scrum Streaming media and Video encoding/decoding
